Lead the Industrial Engineering Process Group. This includes Surface Mount Processes including subprocesses such as Underfill, Placement, Inspection, etc. Lead activities to ensure requirements from manufacturing and quality are achieved. Ensure highest efficiency of the manufacturing and quality processes at the best possible cost.

Core Responsibilities

• Leads all performance management and coaching activities within the SMT team in coordination with the Human Relations Department;
Actively mentors, coaches and motivates team in line with company policies and practices;
Ensures proper training of employees on proper materials management functions; Supervises, trains and develops department employees to ensure short term and long-term goals are achieved.
• Schedule, manage, and communicate multiple project activities between multiple project team members to assure on time completion.
• Develop new operation specific processes providing all necessary documentation such as FMEAs, control plans, qualification plans.
▪ Plans, coordinates and achieves successful launches of assigned products in the manufacturing, materials, QA, test, etc.; disciplines of the factory.
• Work with equipment suppliers to support manufacturing quality and cycle time improvement goals and new equipment qualifications.
• Organize, monitor, and report status of new lines. Organize, monitor, and facilitate install of new and replacement lines.
• Diagnose process problems and implement corrective actions to improve yields and reduce costs, and meet schedules.
• Identify critical and process parameters and assist in improving the capability of the process to assure adherence to these requirements.
• Assist in training and support of engineers, process technicians and production operators.
• Develop and maintain process procedures

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or equivalent

• 5 years experience in an engineering-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience Leading a team of industrial engineers
• General knowledge in operating systems/programming of assembly equipment and Surface Mount Technology equipment desired.
