Summary:

Ensures the seamless integration and deployment of our software applications, enhancing our development processes, and optimizing our infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies to automate provisioning and configuration management tasks.

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure the health, performance, and availability of our systems. Configure alerts to proactively identify and address issues.

  • Containerization and Orchestration: Manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Deploy, scale, and maintain containerized applications efficiently.

  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for security and compliance. Ensure that infrastructure and applications adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Investigate and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner. Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot application-related problems.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure and application performance. Implement solutions to enhance scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.

  • Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Professional DevOps Engineer).

  • Experience with infrastructure orchestration tools (Chef, Puppet).

  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).

  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
