Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, experience managing data models in Data Build Tool (DBT), and the ability to build insightful data visualizations and reports. This role will focus on our digital, including e-commerce, marketing, and customer
experience (CX). You will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with a willingness to wear many hats.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Development: Write and maintain production-grade SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Data Modeling: Manage, maintain, and document data models in DBT, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable for future growth.
• Data Visualization: Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Reporting: Create and deliver comprehensive reports, including slide decks, that effectively communicate data-driven insights to cross-functional teams, including marketing, e-commerce, and customer experience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including digital marketing, product, and customer experience teams, to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that drive business impact.
• Agility in Execution: Participate in sprint planning and scrum meetings, contributing to an agile work environment. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and be comfortable with ambiguity.

Education and Skill Requirements

• 2+ years writing complex SQL to answer business questions
• 2+ years developing and maintaining visualizations/dashboards
• 1+ years experience managing data models in DBT highly preferred
• Experience using version control (git, github)
• Basic understanding of shell scripting Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events.
• Travel Requirements: Potentially once a year for team-building/collaboration exercises and for business-critical/emergency efforts.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. ● Light to moderate lifting is required.
• Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). ● Ability to work in a confined area.
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
