Your role @ CHANEL

This role is to lead the conversations of Fashion strategy formulation, market/competitor intelligence, overall division planning & business performance and the strategic projects which pave the ground towards the new phases of business.

Connect with stakeholders/functions at all levels (ie. global, Regional, China Market) in the governance and planning cycle, orchestrate local conversations to reach divisional alignment, formulate CN Fashion strategy and produce narratives for strategic topics & important meetings.

Build business performance dashboard and analytics with 360-view across different aspects i.e., business trajectory, Retail/Merchandising/Client performance, to support decision making and ROI validation from strategy to execution.

Consolidate competitor intelligence and generate report of market insights for benchmarking and supporting to set context in China storytelling.

Drive strategic initiatives and lead Fashion projects with large market/divisional impact and global/regional exposure, i.e.., Brand Equity follow up, Parallel Market.

Important Fashion moments and business planning cycle

· Support the Fashion GM to lead and follow-up Fashion planning cycles, FLC extended, MTP and following year alignment meetings, etc.

· Define and follow-up on local planning governance and timeline.

· Assist GM to drive the preparation taskforce with all function heads, i.e.., structure of framework, build narratives according to consolidated business priorities, adjust the plan and follow-up on the key conversations with taskforce members to ensure high quality deliveries.

· Connect/sync up with planning roles in Corp/other Divisions to support one-house needs and co-ordinate among Fashion teams.

Driving, follow-up and orchestrating in CN strategic initiatives and Global/Regional projects

· According to needs from the Division, be part of global/regional taskforce and orchestrate among the different local teams.

· Gathering feedback, driving conversations and key points, consolidating results.

· Frameup local initiatives based on the aligned strategic priorities, lead cross-team or/and cross-division efforts and drive CN projects to success.

· Build stakeholder commutation mechanism to consolidate CN voice & feedback for Global/Regional inquiries. Create narratives to highlight and showcase CN pilot & projects.

Local market Intelligence and insights

• Support in marketing intelligence sharing, consolidating events, communications, client engagement to provide a holistic view on what’s happening/hot in ML China market.

• Develop/consolidate report per important competitors’ activities in the market and discuss with streams on key highlights and results.

• Connect with CIMI team to support client insights projects, depending on requests.

Business Performance Analysis, Trend and Validation

• Validate the data source and logic across the different reports. Define the link to the business reality behind the numbers.

• Consolidate the various business data reports into a 360-view (i.e., Retail, Merchandising, Client, Comm.) to support business discussions & decision-makings in different scenario.

• Work with Finance in each forecasting cycle (Sales & ANP) to input from market trends data perspectives. Justify the changes on strategy & investment based on data validation model.

What you can bring to the team…

· 5-year experience in strategy role(s) with good understanding of MKT planning, merchandising, CRM reporting and retail business.

· Expertise in strategy formulation, storylines/narratives creation, logical recap/summary

· Advanced level of Project Management, knowledge of Digital is a Plus

· Luxury industry (not necessarily Fashion) or leading consulting firms

· Local market Intelligence and insights

Basic Competencies Required:

• Communication & inter-personal skills

• Able to lead by influence

• Well organized and effective time management (multi-tasking)

• English communications skills in verbal & written, French is a plus

• Excellent PPT skills

Key Interactions/ Stakeholders:

• Fashion GM and all divisional functions across office and retail organization

• Planning roles in other Corp/Divisions, i.e., Finance, ERM, Brand Comm.

• Cross-Divisional teams

• Regional and Global teams as different topics require
