Job Title: Business Analyst Lead-Engineering Operations

Working Pattern: Full Time

Working location: Bristol

Hybrid Working: 3 days on site and 2 from home

Reporting to the Chief of Engineering Operations, this role is based in the UK. The Business Analyst, known as the Capability Lead - Engineering Operations Management internally is a pivotal role serving as primary liaison between the consolidated ET&S team and the Divisions. The primary responsibilities will include gathering, cleaning, analysing, and reporting at summary levels, UK MoD sensitive data. Responsibilities also include driving strategic resource allocation and ensuring engineer supply alignment with established portfolio priorities. By furnishing essential data for comprehensive engineering performance management, this role plays a critical part in shaping group-level decision-making processes.

What you will be doing:

• You will ensure that the right information is made available to accountable customers to ensure effective delivery of the Operational Metrics.
• Support & governance of the resource planning process, systems and tools
• Support & governance of the baseload demand and budget process
• Develop, define, embed and drive compliance of standard Engineering Operations processes and systems
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering operational services ensuring integration with wider function / customer requirements

• previous/current experience working as Business Analyst
• Experience working with Power BI
• Previous/ current experience working as a Business Analyst within the Engineering/Manufacturing Industry –(Desirable)
• Previous/Current experience working in a Management /lead role
• Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent, higher degree preferred) OR Qualification in relevant area.
• Proficiency with current resource planning process, systems and tools including P6
• A deep understanding of specialist subject and proven ability to influence key decisions

• This is a hybrid role with regular onsite working in Bristol /Derby.
