System Test Engineer

The Lidar department of the Valeo R&D Center in Prague is developing the flagship among our sensors: the Valeo SCALA® lidar is the first and still the only mass-produced automotive laser sensor on the market. It can detect obstacles on the road up to a distance of 200 meters and classify them in all weather conditions. It is used by carmakers for their most advanced models such as the Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 or Honda Legend. Up to 30% of new premium vehicles are to reach level 3 of autonomous driving by 2030, and to do so, they will have to be equipped with lidar technology. We develop hardware, software, optics, mechanical construction, execute system testing and industrialization of this product.

We are looking for a System Test Engineer in our Lidar division in Valeo R&D in Prague. The System Test Engineer ensures the elicitation of the test place requirements, the test coverage of the System requirements and quality of test cases along with the System Test Plan. He/she specifies and provides the System test. He/she reports to the System Test Lead in the project.

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Requirement Analysis, Supports Design Test Strategy,
• System Test Plan creation (SYS.5 domain according to ASPICE)
• System Test Case and Test Case Specification creation, Test script / test bench development
• Performing the System Qualification Test, Result Analysis & Assessment
• Flashing the environmental sensors, reading NVM, perform diagnostic
• Perform Smoke Test, Functional Test, Confirming Test, Vehicle Test, Regression test
• Design Deterministic and Statistical test
• HIL trace reprocessing / HIL SW validation
• Testing using the simulation (debugging) / visualization (analyzing)
• Test Report Creation
• Support design of vehicle toolchain

LET´S TALK ABOUT YOU…

• Finished university-level education in the area of Robotics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, System Engineering or similar field
• Min. 3 years of experience with testing of software or electrical product in automotive
• Good level of English to communicate within international teams
• Proactive, quality oriented engineering attitude and team spirit
• Experience with formal (quality-controlled) product development process
• Reasonable analytical background in the area of Black-box techniques
• Programming skills in Python
• Experience with **DOORs, **CoreALM, **WireShark, V-Cycle
• Driving License B
