National Fleet Finance Development Manager - Regional role (Perm)

Field based role:

Region A - Scotland, North East, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Bristol

Region B- North West, West and North Yorkshire, Midlands, Wales

Region C- South West, South East, Northern Ireland

G3 – Delivers medium-term objectives and determines short-term priorities in a professional or senior operational/technical capacity. May manage a small to medium size operational or technical team

The role in a nutshell: Manage the Fleet Finance field team and support the broader One Toyota Fleet Sales team to develop business relationships and funded volume across the broad range of Fleet sectors.

A bit about the β€˜Fleet Finance team’: The broader sales department focuses on the delivery of finance volumes through the management and development of our Network partners finance, retention, and oversight performance across both new and used cars. The Fleet team is focused on developing fleet funded business through the close collaboration with the One Toyota field team, the provision of expert finance advice and client support through the Fleet Business Unit (FBU).

Requirements

  • Assume responsibility for the development of finance business relationships both personally, through the team of Fleet Finance Development Managers and in support of all members of the One Toyota Fleet Team
  • Support the multi path finance journey for all prospects and customers both personally through the Fleet Finance team and the One Toyota Fleet Sales team liaising with KINTO colleagues as appropriate with a focus on the delivery of TFS funded volume targets.
  • Initially establish then nurture and develop the team of Fleet Finance Development Managers in providing expert advice and service to the broader field team, prospects, and customers alike
  • Develop a team of individuals to support each OT Regional Manager in the compliant delivery of fleet funding solutions through strong collaboration; with KINTO liaison in place to permit focus on TFS funding outcomes as appropriate.
  • Establish a robust targeting, reporting and performance management regime, supported by the Director, Sales (TFS) and GM, One Toyota Fleet
  • Be the primary liaison between TFSUK, KINTO UK and TGB for all matters relating to the financing of business user operated vehicles.
  • Take personal responsibility for appropriate credit line OEM and non-OEM customers, the decision making on relevant business development account management to deliver a seamless support for customers.
  • Take responsibility for the business user finance content of Toyota Academy training for the Toyota and Lexus Networks and work with the Performance Management team on the roll out and implementation.
  • Working with the Director, Sales and GM, One Toyota Fleet, explore opportunities and develop a plan to successfully integrate fleet finance and insurance into the mix to drive increased penetration and retention.
  • Review the training needs and gaps of primary customer facing team members to establish the future fleet finance training requirement to develop both the immediate team, the broader One Toyota Fleet Sales team and where appropriate, the dealer network.
  • Define the training requirements in conjunction with the FBU, One Toyota Fleet Sales team finance Lead and Programmes in conjunction with the Fleet Programmes Manager to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Define and deliver the required business process and system improvements and efficiencies to support the growth of fleet finance and insurance sales in all channels.
  • Review all existing fleet finance business processes both within the FBU and One Toyota entities, identifying opportunities for improvements, efficiencies and support the implementation of agreed countermeasures.
  • Identify the management information required to support business planning and performance monitoring of fleet finance and project manage the development and implementation in conjunction with the Fleet Planning Manager.
  • Work with the TFS Programmes team to ensure all products are thoroughly reviewed quarterly and schemes are brought to market on time and accurately.
  • Support the Programmes team in the assessment and performance of each product in its channel with reference to publicly available competitor benchmarking data.

Key experience and skills:

  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Excellent Fleet and Business knowledge; you should have an understanding of TFS, Toyota Insurance Services, Toyota GB and KINTO processes and objectives.
  • Exceptional knowledge of fleet finance systems, solutions, and compliance to be able to perform a management role with colleagues and ensure adherence.
  • Advanced network knowledge to be able to define and produce retailer centric solutions.
