Junior Business Intelligence Analyst

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and data requirements.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources (SQL) into our BI systems.
• Clean and prepare raw data for analysis, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, or similar.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
• Assist in the development of data models and frameworks to support analytical initiatives.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of our marketplace.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather data requirements and ensure the delivery of actionable insights.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging trends in marketplace analytics.
• Actively participate in learning and development opportunities to enhance analytical skills and stay current with industry trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, and querying.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Basic knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Python or R) is a plus.
• Understanding of basic business concepts and how data analysis contributes to business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot anomalies in data.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Technical aptitude and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies related to data analysis and visualization.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (our company language).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of marketplace analytics concepts (e.g., user acquisition, conversion rates, seller performance) is a plus.
• Experience with a scripting language like Python is a plus.
• A full-time position (39 hours) in our office in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg
