Payroll Associate/Specialist

Reporting : Payroll Senior Manager

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to our payroll and expenses teams, covering tasks for client workers and internal processes. Your role will involve managing payroll records, processing inputs and ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, ensuring adherence to our Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and focus on ways to improve our payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records in the designated HR system.
• Collate and process monthly payroll inputs from client systems.
• Convert client payroll data into compatible formats for our internal system.
• Proactively follow up with internal teams to ensure completeness of payroll inputs.
• Ensure timely distribution of payroll outputs, such as payroll reports, pay slips and invoice, from internal teams to clients.
• Upload payroll output files to designated locations or client systems in line with SLAs.
• Keep internal documentation and checklists up to date for accurate monthly payroll tasks.
• Promptly report issues to the manager, identify root causes and suggest solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Timely and accurately validates expense receipts for European payroll team.
• Ad hoc requests from the company.

Requirements

• Minimum tertiary education in any field.
• At least 3 years of experience in payroll or expense processing.
• Must be proficient in both English and one other European language (spoken and written).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills is required, including formulas and other features, for better data management and reducing manual tasks.
• Ability to work fully remote from home.
• Flexibility to adapt working hours as needed to meet business needs.
• Experience with Payroll software systems is required.
• Is meticulous and accurate in processing payroll data.
• Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
