The team

The Data Quality and Retention (DQ&R) team is responsible for facilitating the migration of a Documentum-based ING archiving solution to Global Archiving Platform within ING’s Corporate Technology Enterprise Content & Automation (EC&A) tribe.

The team helps develop ETL applications to facilitate and automate the data migration, also working with various stakeholders to ensure high data quality within the Documentum content management platform.

As a member of the DQ&R team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the data quality of the Documentum content management platform. You will develop and improve ETL solutions for migration to the ING Global Archiving Platform, contributing to its scalability, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, analyse data, design and implement robust solutions, and ensure the quality of data.

You will take part in ensuring data quality and proper data shipping to the ING Documentum platform. You will be working with stakeholders from several teams, receiving the business requirements and guiding them. You will assist in the development of the ETL application that facilitates the migration of ING Documentum content management platform to ING Global Archiving Platform

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of back-end Java development experience
  • Solid experience with SQL and preferably PL/SQL
  • Experience in Java 11 or above with the Spring framework.
  • Knowledge of core database concepts (RDBMS – Oracle preferred)
  • Proven ability to create highly scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of acting as a sparring partner for business and technical colleagues, speaking with several stakeholders and understanding business requirements
  • Strong conceptual understanding and the ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts outside of one's comfort zone, coupled with an itch and self-motivation for solving technical and functional challenges.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and an agile way of working, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt to iterative development processes.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Kafka (preferred)
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools and practices (preferred)
