Data Scientist

ARHS Group – part of Accenture – is looking for a Data Scientist for one of its clients at the EU Institutions in Brussels.

Role & responsibilities

• Collecting business requirement and developing advanced data mining solutions or identifying, assessing and deploying relevant existing data mining, machine learning and business intelligence solution
• Specification and design of presentation interfaces with optimal usability/user experience
• Identifying, collecting, converting and updating different data types/sets in several locations (e.g. ETL)
• Producing data models according to specific problems statements
• Scripting and programming
• Contributing to the design and implementation of the analytics architecture and its solution stack (including performance aspects, physical design & capacity dimensions)
• Writing the different documentation associated with the tasks and liaise with other project teams as necessary to address cross-project interdependencies.

Requirements

Your profile

• University degree with focus on Data management or equivalent
• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents in English
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the systems developed-maintained may contain personal and sensitive data.

Technical skills

• Excellent knowledge of Data Analytics techniques and tools
• Excellent or good knowledge of SQL tooling
• Expertise in the ETL processes and tools
• Proven experience in using Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and analytics
• Excellent or good knowledge and experience in using Python for data analysis and machine learning tasks
• Knowledge in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Knowledge in Azure SQL Database and/or Cosmos DB
• Knowledge in designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Knowledge in Azure Machine Learning for building and deploying machine learning models
• Experience in one of the following areas: predictive (forecasting, recommendation), prescriptive (simulation), sentiment analysis, topic detection, social media crawling and processing, plagiarism, detection, trends/anomalies detection in datasets, recommendation systems.

Certification

• Any certifications related to Microsoft 365 will be considered an asset.
