Pre -Assembly Process Engineering Senior Manager

Role Summary:

• Responsible for leading and managing all the activities of Assembly Pre-Assembly Process in ATBK, working together with various groups (particularly Assembly FOL and EOL Process, Manufacturing, Equipment, and Innovation) to meet business objectives. Drive process standardization, best practices, and talent retention & growth for organization sustainability.
• Ensuring the process is in control with quality/reliability of package & product meeting customer expectation; establishing & maintaining the production standard work meeting process control requirements; sustaining and improving yield through continuous improvement activities/projects; reducing cost through continuous cost reduction effort; ensuring effective and efficient risk management strategy; defining, developing and establishing process capabilities, strategy and roadmap; early engagement & collaborate with Innovation NPI/NTI team to enable successful NPI/NTI launch with manufacturability & robust Safe Launch closure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the process is in control and quality/reliability of package & product meets expectation
• Implement & maintain Quality Control Plan / Tool / FMEA / SPC / Standard Work
• Lead CQC investigation and containment with effective permanent corrective actions
• Lead and support both internal & external audits
• Review FMEA/Risk to mitigate and eliminate the risk
• Specifically on risk assessment and process flow optimization, playing the Integrator role of Assembly process from wafer to package finished good taking 5M1E into consideration
• Drive process standardization, best practices, and talent retention & growth for organization sustainability
• Provide the necessary production support to meet customer demands
• Establishing & maintaining the production standard work meeting process control requirements
• Own & drive area KPIs to meet performance target (Safety, Quality, Costs, Yield)
• Drive continuous improvement activities in Quality, Costs, and Yield through projects
• Reduce cost through continuous cost reduction effort meeting benchmark
• Identify the key cost drivers and work on cost reduction programs
• Work with Purchasing to identify critical suppliers and develop 2nd sourcing strategy
• Define, develop and establish process capabilities, strategy and roadmap
• Maintain a matrix on process capabilities and constraints
• Experience with various DOE methodology, proficient in statistical tools for decision making, knowledgeable in JMP software or equivalent
• Knowhow in wafer saw & grind technology and engagement with equipment team on Quality control & improvement
• Develop a strategy to develop new capabilities or to overcome process constraints
• Collaborate with Innovation NPI/NTI team to enable successful NPI/NTI launch with robust Safe Launch closure
• Attend and own all BCAM related review on NPI/NTI to ensure risk to process margin/manufacturability is mitigated upfront
• Work with UG/Equipment counterpart on equipment benchmarking
• Constantly on the lookout for new material suppliers / new technology and capability

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in relevant engineering fields
• 8+ Years of Experience in Semiconductor industry is mandatory
• Competent in NPI development, quality, or problem solving skill will be added advantage
• Experience in running engineering teams in wafer saw and grind would be added advantage
• Strong leadership skills with good communication
• Excellent data analysis and data interpretation skills
• Ability to make sound data-driven decisions
• Hands on, strong ownership, and able to collaborate as team player
