Head of Finance

DELLI is a platform that brings a new generation of food producers and their customers together. We believe the world of food is undergoing a fundamental shift, and we are here to support the brave individuals making it happen. We enable burgeoning independent food makers to build their businesses and instantly reach a nationwide community of customers looking for new, more exciting, and tastier food options.

We were founded by Simon Beckerman (Co-Founder, Chief Creative Officer) and Marie Petrovicka (Co-Founder, CEO). Simon and Marie previously worked together at Depop — a fashion marketplace founded by Simon that sold to Etsy for $1.6B in 2021, with 20M users in 147 countries and a team of 300!

Having just raised a funding round we are looking for someone to take responsibility for finance at DELLI.

Requirements

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts, and work with our accountants to produce our annual statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Compliance, Tax & Governance: Ensure we remain compliant with all relevant regulations (EMI Scheme, VAT, Companies House, etc.).
• Business Partnering: Work with the CEO and senior management team to both drive positive change throughout the business and prepare reports for the board.

What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a finance professional who wants to take a pivotal role in the growth of the company. This role will require the new Head of Finance to get involved in the day-to-day running and operation of the company and "get their hands dirty." Currently, finance is managed by a fractional CFO and outsourced to a firm of accountants.

• Accounting qualification
• Significant experience in financial management in a fast-growth environment.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to see and enact change within a business.
• Ability to set own goals and priorities and meet them.
