Core Responsibilities

In this new position as CAM Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering programs and data packed to our global shopfloors. Ensuring mould parts production to complete moulds at right time and quality. More specifically, you will:

  • Deliver high quality CAM programming and data to manufacturing shop floors globally
  • Identify mistakes based on data, correct them and change processes, if needed
  • Detect and analyze optimization possibilities based on data to always make the best compromise between quality, reliability and costs
  • Apply your proven understanding of cutting conditions in CNC milling and for process improvements
  • Drive Lean initiatives, while supporting continuous improvement of templates and manufacturing strategies based on feature analyses
  • Support NPI (new product implementation process) in the Insert Factory to maintain the department’s status as supplier of choice for our manufacturing sites
  • Train and support colleagues globally
  • Contribute to the department's future development and workflows

Play your part in our team succeeding

You will join the Insert Factory team in Billund making special components to our key moulds for internal manufacturing. The team is a global provider being functionally responsible for analyzing and delivering production data to Insert Factory shop floor. This includes applying pioneering technology and software within manufacturing of high-end mould components to ensure a reliable and highly industrialized production environment of single piece production.

This comes with the overall vision of optimizing and automating the internal processes to exceed existing standards in the industry.

Do you have what it takes?

We welcome both recent graduates with proven CAM Engineering experience/mindset as well as candidates with 3+ years’ experience as Toolmaker, Industrial Technician, Production Engineer, CAM Engineer or similar engineering role. Most importantly, you bring an analytic mindset, process-driven manufacturing understanding and structured work approach. In addition, you have:

  • Proven experience within manufacturing and production of high-end components in small series

  • Extensive experience with the CAM software, preferably PowerMill, and eagerness to do daily job breakdowns and CAM programming mainly in desk work

  • Knowledge about mould manufacturing value chain and ability to spot optimization opportunities in a complex production will be a great advantage

  • Know-how to utilize designed learning loops (through a data mindset) to continuously improve and optimize the processes and standards

  • Ability to initiate and challenge statistics data and analyses by using capability studies and other statistics tools

  • Understanding and systemic approach to LEAN activities and principles

  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken
