Responsibilities:

Serve as member of molding team and drive manufacturing initiatives related to plastic injection molding, liquid silicone injection molding (LSR) and company’s motor division ensuring products meet highest standards of quality and reliability.

  • Apply advance skills and knowledge of plastics manufacturing engineering discipline to develop and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documents to meet current and future production volume, quality, OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) and cost requirements.
  • Conduct mold trials, process verification and validation activities to determine feasibility and suitability of design.
  • Assist in development, execution, and testing of new and existing products and processes. Implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities and documentation to meet production volumes.
  • Resolve technical issues and focusing on following OHS guidelines.
  • Represent Manufacturing while working closely with Product Development to ensure robust, manufacturable products.
  • Introduce and maintain production procedures, provides training on new equipment, processes and procedures.
  • Provide support to automation and equipment teams and vendors during development of automation systems.
  • Complete process validation activities and documentation of processes.
  • Identify and implement quality and efficiency measures.
  • Perform design assessment, design reviews and risk management process.

20% domestic and international travel required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field of study and
  • 5 years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Molding Engineering or any combination thereof.
  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field of study and 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Molding Engineering or any combination thereof in lieu of a
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and
  • 5 years of progressive experience.

Position requires Six Sigma Certification.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

  • 4 years of experience with medical or pharmaceutical manufacturing, working and implementing ISO and cGMP practices;
  • 4 years of experience with validation and verification in the healthcare space utilizing Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and Performance Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) related to medical or pharmaceutical implementation of production equipment;
  • 4 years of experience performing statistical analyses, including GRR and analyzing data using Minitab statistical analysis software;
  • 2 years of experience with Solidworks, Creo or equivalent 3D CAD program;
  • Process development, automation, risk management, and validation; CAPA management;
  • Continuous Improvement methodologies; and
  • Process development design of experiment (DOE), including work instructions and other documentation related to the manufacturing process.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept 3 years of experience with skills #1-3 when qualifying with a Master’s degree.

Base Pay Range for this position: $130,894 – $166,000 per year.
