We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!

We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be owning Runna’s user acquisition entry points (website and app stores), taking full responsibility for the optimisation of these with the objective of driving growth. Reporting into the Head of Growth, your role as Growth Manager (Acquisition) will include:

Runna Website

  • Overseeing Runna Website: including maintaining existing pages, ideating, scoping, roadmap planning and prioritisation.
  • Working closely with engineering and design teams to ensure high quality delivery against the roadmap.
  • Conversion rate optimisation: constant & iterative multivariate testing using web experimentation tools (VWO)
  • Managing all web conversion tracking (including web-to-app) to make data-driven decisions & provide visibility of performance to the wider team.
  • Supporting with the launch of Runna’s web onboarding and purchase journey

SEO Strategy

  • Implementing Runna’s SEO strategy
  • Taking ownership of programmatic SEO efforts
  • Staying on top of technical SEO performance and continuously looking for opportunities to maximise organic acquisition via web.

App Stores (Apple & Playstore)

  • Complete ownership of App Store Optimisation (ASO) for Runna on both Apple App store and Google Play Store across all major markets. Including: keyword & metadata optimisation, product page/ screenshot optimisation, custom product pages, in-app events and promotional content.
  • Constant & iterative testing using app store native testing capabilities.

If you’re a data-driven individual, who is passionate about product, experimentation and optimisation, this role is for you!

Requirements

We’re looking for someone that loves…

  • Optimising - you’re constantly looking for opportunities to improve effectiveness, and excel in optimising key touch points within the user acquisition journey: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO), App Store Optimisation (ASO).
  • Experimenting - you get excited by running multiple A/B tests, from small CTA changes to entirely new structures and pages. You love designing, executing & deep-diving into experiments and their results.
  • Collaborating & Communicating - you love working with multiple teams and stakeholders (both internal and external) and you’re just as comfortable collaborating with designers as you are developers.
  • Conducting User Research - speaking to users to understand more about what makes them tick and how we can help them achieve their goals.

What experience we’re looking for

We care the most about you looking at the ‘We’re looking for someone that loves…’ section and thinking ‘Wow this role was made for me’. That said, we do need you to have 1.5+ years of proven experience in growth marketing and/or product management (web).

About you:

  • You are data and results-driven. You love to test, learn, iterate and repeat. You’re motivated by seeing the quantifiable impact of the team’s work
  • You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in
  • You’re a problem-solver with a strategic mind
  • You’re organised, efficient, and can execute at pace
  • You (hopefully!) love running and you’re passionate about our mission to make running training effective, easy and enjoyable for everyone
  • You’re ideally London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week), but we’ll be open to remote for exceptional people
  • Bonus points if:
    • You know your way around WebFlow (and ideally the App Stores)
    • You have previously been responsible for web acquisition journeys, ideally at a mobile app business.

Interview process

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Kick off! (Please apply here on Workable)
    1. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better accommodate you throughout the interview process - this can be from scheduling interviews around childcare commitments to accessibility requirements. We want you to show your best self in the process ❤️
  2. Introductory chat with Miranda, Growth Lead (30 minutes video call)
  3. Take Home Task & interview (60 minutes interview)
  4. Office visit (in-person chat with founder(s) and rest of the team)

Once the process is finished, we promise to let you know our decision as soon as possible.

Benefits

We offer a salary of £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience), plus substantial equity in the form of Runna stock options.

We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:

  • Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days in our office in Vauxhall)
  • Salary reviews every 6 months or whenever we raise more investment
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
  • A workplace pension scheme
  • A brand new Macbook, a running watch of your choice, and anything else you need to do your best work
  • Private health insurance
  • Enhanced family care policy (3 months fully paid leave when a new Runna joins the family, fertility support & other benefits)
  • An hour slot each week (during work time) to do a Runna workout

At Runna we have a limited number of employment visas that we are able to sponsor and are limited by govt. guidelines so cannot guarantee a visa sponsorship to all applicants. Please do apply though as we will consider all applicants.
