Software Engineer III

Position Summary...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll do...

Position Responsibilities:

· Through this role you have an opportunity to develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.

· You will be responsible for design, architecture, code and end-to-end delivery of one or more systems/products while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

· You will have to estimate effort, identify risks, help with prioritisation and devising/meeting project schedules.

· You will raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.

· You also get to collaborate with team members to develop best practices and client requirements for the software.

· In this role it would be important for you to professionally maintain all codes and create updates regularly to address the customer’s and company’s concerns

· You will show your skills in analysing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance

· Troubleshooting coding problems quickly and efficiently will offer you a chance to grow your skills in a high-pace, high-impact environment.

· You will also be required to seek ways to improve the software and its effectiveness.

· You will be called upon to support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications

· You will be Mentoring /coaching other engineers in the team to facilitate their development and to provide technical leadership to them.

Position Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

· A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Work on React Native on the front end to create Android and iOS supported apps.
• 3+ years of experience in React and React-Native tech
• Thorough understanding of React Native and its core principles and be updated with the latest principles.
• Working expertise with Native development Android and/or iOS Applications is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation, React native performance fundamentals and the JavaScript object model.
• Experience with popular React workflows (such as Redux, Hooks and Context).
• Build high-level user interfaces using rapid prototyping methodologies.
• Proven software development experience in developing RN based applications.
• Expertise in high-level design and translating them into detailed design artifacts.
• Deep working experience in building and delivering one or more apps to the Google Play Store and/or Apple's App Store.
• Ability to drive projects independently.
• Strong understanding of Native-based programming languages.
• Experience using modern mobile application architectural components and lifecycle management: code push, bundle management, registry setup, ERP application workspaces.
• Experience with creating custom components and hooks.
• Experience with complex or dynamic layouts in RN.
• Have published at least two original native or RN based applications.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs and bridging components.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-cultural team and in a collaborative environment.
• Experience and knowledge of open source software, frameworks and broader cutting edge technologies.
• ·Ability to work with minimal guidance in fluid environments while providing guidance/stability to junior engineers in the team

Additional Qualifications:

· Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.

· Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS

· A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate and optimise systems and tools.

· Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms

· Exposure to information retrieval, statistics, and machine learning.

· Excellent organisation, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
