What You’ll Do

The National Value-Based Partnerships Senior Analyst position is an integral member of the National Partnerships team, and will be responsible for ensuring best in class end-to-end administration of contract operations for Cigna Medicare’s most advanced value-based provider partnerships and health systems. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for value-based provider contracting and experience, this position ensures network contract and business rules are applied to ensure service excellence for internal and external stakeholders.

Where You’ll Focus Your Time:

  • Support complex value-based negotiations for national provider agreements, providing advanced professional input. Responsible for end-to-end contract management, inclusive of ensuring a seamless provider experience whilst managing the contract loading, configuration, and back-end operational processes. Ensure accurate implementation and downstream administration across multiple Cigna systems and matrixed departments.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for external partners for contract oversight and issue resolution. Acts with urgency to research questions or procedural issues; identifies the right resources to resolve concerns, and follows up to drive resolution. Provides on-going feedback across organizational levels to ensure seamless adoption of procedures and policies.
  • Prepares, analyzes, reviews and projects growth and financial impact of provider contracts and alternative terms. Prepares executive level materials for Joint Operations Committees, Provider Growth Summits, Health System Senior Leadership meetings, and Cigna Medicare and Commercial leaders.
  • Coordinates heavily with local market network teams to ensure operational consistency for national agreements and in providing service excellence for national partners. Provides day-to-day direction to local market network operations and contracting support roles for national agreements.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert for value-based and risk reimbursement methodologies for Cigna contracting teams. Provides leadership by educating users, designing workflows, and supporting provider issue resolution. Trains matrix partners as required.
  • Manages delegation onboarding and oversight activities for national partners. Navigates the exchange or information across stakeholders, ensuring compliance standards are met. Communicates any CMS regulation change to delegated entity and implements necessary compliance changes.
  • Initiates and maintains effective channels of communication with matrix partners including but not limited to, Claims, Medical Management, Credentialing, Legal, Medical Economics, Compliance, Sales and Marketing, Grievance, Appeals, and Customer Service that may have downstream impacts relative to provider contracts.
  • Individual contributor, able to work in a highly-matrixed role with only need for expert-level technical support. Must work by influence/building relationships with others and ensuring effective and positive relationship across Cigna organization.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience and knowledge of value-based reimbursement structures and payment methodologies for Medicare required
  • An influential team player with experience navigating complex environments to build consensus among divergent interests and competing organizational needs. Able to share knowledge and coach individuals with varying levels of experience.
  • Exemplifies organizational agility; is skilled at identifying solutions and solving translational problems.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, spanning providers to system leaders.
  • Preferred: specialized knowledge and experience with delegation, configuration, claims, and downstream service and operating systems.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 58,500 - 97,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
