Lead Engineer - Americas Plant & Accessories Product Service
**Job Description Summary
Responsible for mentoring Product Service team and providing direct technical support to global GE Vernova customers for 3 main workstreams:
- Leading or engaging in complex accessory & plant equipment root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for high business impact issues, often with cross-functional teams
- Resolving or mentoring team through customer technical inquiries via engineering response (ER) cases
- Communicating GEV technical guidance to customers or site representatives via user conferences, customer webinars, and technical documents; additionally, communicating technical details and business risks to GEV internal stakeholders

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop technical expertise across wide breadth of accessory systems and plant equipment
- Drive complex RCAs through root cause and corrective action while communicating both internally (field teams, GEV leadership) and externally to end customers
- Provide thorough resolution of ER technical inquiries with a sense of urgency and limited direction
- Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect our customers’ fleet, then communicate to the relevant audience (TILs, PSxBs, ETCs, OnTheGo alerts, etc.)
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Regional Customer Engineering Centers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Vendors, and/or Customers to provide sound technical resolution in a timely manner
- Lead and promote the GE Vernova Way, lean principles, and simplification into day-to-day activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience with GE/Alstom accessory and/or plant systems
Desired Characteristics
- Self-starter and resourceful problem-solver that can navigate the GEV resource databases and organizations to deliver a solution, with urgency
- Not afraid of being uncomfortable with the specific technical problem and willingness to apply engineering problem-solving methods to resolve the issue, under pressure
- Ability to communicate at all levels (field engineers, site engineers, plant managers, GEV leadership, etc.)
- Ability to rapidly change directions for multiple concurrent projects based on emergent business priorities
- Humble, open, collaborative, and continuously learning
- Willingness to travel to customer sites to support issue resolutions, when such need arises
