Customer Application Support Engineer

Become part of the AMS Competence Center that is supporting NXP businesses in the wireless connected world. Your role is to be a key player in the customer support activities for infotainment systems and in particular the broadcast receivers making the difference in overall performance and customer satisfaction. NXP is market leader in car radio for many years with the most advanced receiver improvement algorithms such as phase diversity, channel equalization, (EV) noise suppression and many more.

As Customer Support Engineer your challenge will be to provide 2nd line customer support, with design-in support and problem solving for a variety of IC’s used for car radio infotainment systems.

Your responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining an adequate lab environment, consisting of measurement instruments and test programs, for the purpose of debugging and evaluation
• Handling of customer questions and customer complaints, in cooperation with the AMS-CC customer support team and PL Infotainment
• Reproduce customer issues, understanding the mechanism behind the issue, finding a suitable solution in hardware or software
• Customer design reviews, application schematics and PCB layout
• Customer communication
• Maintaining good relationship with NXP Field Application Engineers
• Cooperation and consultation of the AMS-CC design and validation teams for third line support

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge on generic receiver parameters such as sensitivity, selectivity, intermodulation, AGC, interferences etc.
• Experience with operating lab equipment such as RF signal generators and Audio analyzer.
• Affinity with the API and the tools to control the device.
• Interest in advanced receiver improvement algorithms

Furthermore, you are:

• A good communicator
• A team player
• Skilled in English
