The Role:

To assist in the creation and delivery of software training programmes for Howden staff by training them on Insurance Applications, Microsoft Office and any other bespoke system(s) to the required levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, creation and delivery of IT systems and other projects as required both via classroom and virtual
  • To learn how to utilise eLearning materials using a variety of applications (e.g. Adobe Captivate and Digital Adoption Solutions (DAS) like WalkMe/WhatFix)
  • Maintain accurate training records/MI
  • Maintenance of first line user support help functions
  • Liaising with internal team members and other organisations to search out areas for Business training support
  • Delivery of Insurance software applications, MS Office (incl. Teams/O365) to advanced level and other specific internal IT applications as the need arises
  • Ability to assess individual and Group needs
  • Research (where required), plan and prepare/update new/existing materials
  • Keep up to date with the use of new technology such as DAS and Teams for delivery
  • Conduct post training assessments to identify areas of improvement and transfer of knowledge

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to prioritise work load and lead multiple projects/deliveries
  • Operates in an open, professional and ethical manner
  • Rigorously adheres to Group Employee Code of Conduct which strong aligns to the FCS’s code of conduct
  • Completes all relevant and required regulatory training
  • Actively undertakes personal development to ensure an up to date knowledge of latest training methods
  • Keeps up to date with the latest regulatory and legal developments relevant to the Operating Entity/Group and role
  • Preferable - Prior training delivery experience (classroom and virtually)
  • Insurance knowledge (preferably incl. London Market knowledge)
  • Crucial – Microsoft Office (Incl. Teams/O365)
  • Knowledge of any London Market broking systems is helpful
  • Highly organised, with good planning/time management skills
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Resilient and calm under pressure
  • Standout colleague, networks and able to build balanced relationships
