As an Engineering Manager - CPU Architecture, you will lead a team of highly skilled engineers in the development of cutting-edge CPU architectures. You will be responsible for managing the team, collaborating with remote team members, and driving the hiring and training of junior engineers.

This role ison-site, based out of Tokyo, Japan.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of CPU architects and engineers to deliver high-performance CPU architectures.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Drive the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for junior engineers.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to team members.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and creativity.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and verification teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in CPU architecture and related technologies.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in CPU architecture design and development.
  • Demonstrated experience (6+ years) managing engineering teams, including remote teams.
  • Experience (6+ years) in hiring, training, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture principles and design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CPU design tools and simulation software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
  • Fluent / Business Fluent Japanese and English language skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ARM, x86, or RISC-V architectures.
  • Familiarity with microarchitecture design and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of system-level architecture and integration.
  • Experience with performance analysis and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
