Lead Software Engineer

Lead software engineers are the key contributor in complex projects and initiatives. They are responsible for quality software deliverables as per timeline. They work closely with other engineers in the team and provides technical leadership/guidance to a small team. They are the proficient in programming languages and technology in use by the team. They often participate in investigating complex problems and drive resolution. Lead engineers networks with key contacts outside his/her area of expertise and provide robust solution.

In this role you will be:

• As a member of the development group, you will be primarily responsible for the design, development, and maintaining the product
• Work with the Product and Design teams to build new features to solve business problems and fill business needs
• Participate in code reviews to create robust and maintainable code
• Work in an agile environment where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life
• Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process, and business
• Communicate and coordinate with our support and professional services teams to solve customer issues
• Help scale our platform as we expand

What will you bring to Coupa:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6 to 12 years’ experience in application development
• Strong hands-on development experience in C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, Simple Injector, Webservices
• Experience with React.js, AngularJS, strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies
• Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies. Good work ethic, self-starter, and results-oriented
• Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively within specific timeframes
• Experience in conducting application design and code reviews
• Able to demonstrate strong OOP skills
• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development, Business driven development
• Have experience working with SQL Server. Ability to write stored procedures, triggers, performance tuning etc
• Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS
• Experience with developing SaaS products preferred
