What You’ll Do
The Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions will be responsible for acquiring the brands we own and manage. The Authentic M&A team has historically completed 4-5 new brand acquisitions each year. This mid-level hire will work with a lean, experienced team on the execution of mergers & acquisitions and have primary responsibility for the financial modeling, analysis, and diligence of potential acquisition targets as well as the negotiation of the transaction documents. The role of a Vice President will involve managing at least one direct report and will provide broad exposure to with Authentic senior executives (including direct, regular exposure to the CEO) and the target companies. It is envisioned that the Vice President will progress towards a senior leadership role in the Authentic M&A organization.
What you’ll be working on
- Evaluate prospective deals and conduct due diligence on target companies, including the evaluation of company financials, operations, brand distribution and brand licensing
- Perform financial modeling and valuation analyses
- Develop investment committee memoranda to be presented to Authentic executive management and board members
- Review and negotiate key transaction documents: purchase agreements, transition service agreements, operating agreements, license agreements, etc.
- Create initial roadmap and post-closing strategy for newly acquired brands
- Facilitate integration of newly acquired brands into the Authentic business
Must Haves
- 4+ years of transaction experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development or private equity consulting. Direct exposure to consumer retail or entertainment industries is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the adaptability to work within a dynamic work environment
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members and possess an exceptional work ethic
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling and financial statement analysis
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate and present complex information in a clear and concise manner and demonstrated ability to write effectively
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Desire to be part of close-knit group operating in an intensive environment and entrepreneurial firm culture
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with an exceptional record of academic achievement
This position is on-site in our Design District, Miami Office.
Primary Location Salary Range:
$200,000 - $250,000
