Senior Accountant

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

We have partnered with a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Greater Atlanta community. The team is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to add to their accounting and finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Data clean up – making sure info came across accurately
• Reconciling journal entries booked to old system and missed in new system
• Month end close activities
• Recurring entries clean up
• Supporting government audit, supporting orgs audit and regular audit
• Handle complex bank reconciliations
• Collaboration with other team members

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the nonprofit sector
• Must be skilled in complex bank reconciliations
• Must have Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
