The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director Technical Program Management- Engagement to lead our product development initiatives. This pivotal role requires a candidate with a total of 10+ years of experience, including 3+ years of leadership in program management function. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership abilities, including recruiting, inspiring, and retaining talent, along with an entrepreneurial mentality and passion to build Hierarchical Partial Order Ranking. Strong program and project management skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are essential for presenting complex plans and designs. The Director TPM must demonstrate exceptional judgment, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making and strong customer empathy. Candidates should be innovative, creative, flexible, and self-motivated, with experience in scrum or agile development considered a plus.

What will you do :

• Agile Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams using agile methodology and Scrum practices, ensuring projects adhere to Agile principles and are executed efficiently.
• Collaboration: Work closely with and support the product owner and development team to deliver solutions that meet customer and stakeholder needs.
• Team Development: Coach and support teams in achieving self-organization and maintaining high standards of Scrum maturity, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Gap Identification: Collaborate with the product and development teams to identify and address any gaps in project execution, ensuring a seamless workflow.
• Objectives & Key Results Alignment: Continuously align OKRs with changing priorities to facilitate continuous business evolution.
• High-Profile Events: Effectively manage high-profile events and war-room sessions with large cross-functional teams, facilitating collaborative problem solving.
• Conflict Resolution: Proactively resolve conflicts and address issues, identify and monitor project risks and issues, and take timely corrective actions.
• Pod Ownership: Implement a "checkers at each stage" approach, where individual owners of the pod are responsible for maintaining JIRA, creating analytics reports, and delivering on committed dates.
• Team Building: Foster a team environment where team members take ownership of the product and find satisfaction in contributing to its success.
• Communication: Regularly communicate project deliverables to senior management, providing transparent and informative updates on project status.
• High - Quality Delivery: Consistently deliver high-quality work, even when faced with tight deadlines, maintaining JioCinema's commitment to excellence.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise and identify key technology solutions and services that enhance project success
• Process Improvements: Drive internal process improvements across various functions and teams, streamlining operations and promoting efficiency
• Pace Maintenance :Ensure the pace of the pod being handled is maintained according to agile principles. Conduct sprint reviews, with designs and demos reviewed timely with leadership.
• Effective Communication: Demonstrate the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals, facilitating a shared understanding of project goals and progress
• Visual Presentations: Create visual presentations with ease, effectively conveying complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics, metrics, and KPIs to inform decision-making, measure program performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Autonomy : Capable of operating independently with minimal guidance, taking ownership of verticals and leading a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) effectively.

Who should apply for this role:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).

• Total of 12+ years of experience with 3+ years of leadership in program management function.

• Excellent leadership abilities, including recruiting, inspiring, and retaining talent.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience in Consumer-Facing or Media Industries: While not mandatory, experience in consumer-facing or media-related industries is preferred, as it demonstrates an understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and industry-specific challenge
• Knowledge of Media Technologies: While not mandatory, familiarity with media technologies, content delivery platforms, digital streaming services, and related industry standards and regulations.
• Vendor and Partner Management: While not mandatory, Experience in managing relationships with external vendors, service providers, and strategic partners, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and vendor risk management.
• Industry Certifications: While not mandatory, relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Scrum Master, or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) can be advantageous, showcasing a commitment to professional development and expertise in program management practices.
