Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

Responsibilities:

The Material Planner will help to maintain steady operations through the reliable management of the spare parts inventory. The Material Planner's responsibilities include evaluating inventory usage, maintaining material lead time data accuracy, coordinating with other internal departments for proactive material appropriation, and establishing inventory stocking levels consistent with production demands.

This individual will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Analyze material usage history (turns), lead times and other variables necessary to set appropriate material inventory stocking levels,
  • Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of operational, capital, and consumable spare parts necessary for planned and unplanned maintenance activities,
  • Support procurement in the evaluation of alternative materials that may be available to satisfy urgent production demands,
  • Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations,
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather input for material planning based on production goals, timelines, supplier and/or other global capacity constraints,
  • Track material usage volume, monitoring demand patterns, purchasing trends and evaluating excess or obsolescence,
  • Prepare material inventory reports, performance reports and financial estimates of material inventory variations,
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required however a degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field is preferred,
  • 4+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position,
  • Knowledge of inventory, procurement, or supply chain processes,
  • Strong organizational and time management skills,
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present key details and conclusions,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with MS OfficeSuite, SAP and Coupa procurement systems is preferred,
  • Interest in and comfort with being a part of a team environment with rapidly changing assignments and priorities,
  • Must report to office daily, with occasional nights and weekend work as required,
  • Periodic domestic USA travel may be required
