About the Role

The Swift Translator squad is looking for highly skilled and motivated candidate to join the team.

As a developer, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals using up-to-date technologies and applying agile software developments practices.

Within the team, you will be the reference for and drive the development of the UI project, using the most recent web technology.

Under the guidance of a team leader, you will participate in building and/or evolving software components of medium to high complexity, from end to end, of the Swift Translator products.

Given the mission critical nature of our business, strong emphasis is placed on quality, security, availability, resiliency, scalability, performance, and system resources consumption.

It is expected that suitable candidate adheres to the Agile development approach and will actively contribute to delivering highest quality software.

You work on the SWIFT Translator product and its integration with the MyStandards portfolio.
SWIFT Translator is an essential component leveraged by key customers and market infrastructures to validate and transform message formats.
It is also used by Swift for the message processing performed for the financial community.

What will you do?

- You participate to the activities and the success of the squad, in terms of development engineer

- You are part of a dynamic team using up-to-date technologies and applying agile software delivery practices.

- You will actively participate in the whole cycle of development of new user stories: requirements review, solution design, implementation, testing plan and development testing.

- You have the opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true BizDevOps agile environment; engaging in the product evolution, covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.

- You will actively collaborate with other stakeholders such as Product Owners, Testers and other developers across regions.

- You will share team commitments and own some parts of those solutions.

- You will use your experiences to coach and guide other junior developers.

Education

• Master degree in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development

Essential knowledge

• In-depth knowledge and hands on experience in web application technology (React, JSON, HTTP APIs, ...)
• Knowledge and hands on experience in Java development
• Knowledge on OO programming techniques and related design patterns
• Knowledge and hands on experience in automated testing technologies (React testing, Jest, Junit, Mockito, Cucumber,…)
• Knowledge of software development tools (npm, git, IntelliJ, Jira, Jenkins, Maven)

Desirable knowledge

• Knowledge and hands on experience in web stylesheet (CSS, Less)
• Knowledge and hands on experience in software delivery processes (Agile, Scrum,…)
• Knowledge and hands on experience in containers systems (Docker, podman)
• Knowledge of Messaging technologies (parsing, validation, transformation,…)
• Knowledge of Financial Message Standards (FIN, ISO20022,…)
• Understanding of (web) application security
• Knowledge in Cloud infrastructure.
