About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Strategic Relationship Manager to help drive engagement with Global Complementors. The successful candidate will have Strategic partnership or Business Development experience but will also have good understanding of Swift Services, Product & Platform management. They will be able to handle technical conversations with product teams, lead commercial partnership negotiations, and drive process changes (Product Readiness, operational, risk, legal, etc.) necessary with internal teams to enable partnerships.
Through regular reviews with the business, consolidate input on partners performance and relationships development in meeting shared objectives, opportunities, etc.

University degree
Experience
At least 5 years' experience in sales, of which 3 years in the financial industry
Domains
- Knowledge of Swift services and/or payments, plus existing and emerging products and services in domain.
- Analytical ability to drive strong commercial outcomes.
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects and multitask with excellent organisational skills.
- Effective executive presence and experience presenting to senior leadership, both externally and internally.
- Awareness of API based services and associated technologies.
- Insight into the use of new technologies in financial transaction processing such as Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, e-invoicing, digitisation, supply chain and bank payment obligation, identity management.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow relationships and expand strategic opportunities with existing partnerships, by Managing and nurturing established relationships to enable our partners’ success, increase the adoption of Swift services, and execute upon Swifts overall platform strategy
- Represent Swift and promote the company’s portfolio through participation in and workshops, business forums and conferences.
- Acquire, capture, and document partner product, and services portfolio capabilities.
- Provide regular market and partner feedback to Product, Strategy, and commercial teams.
- Coordinate partner relationship activities including regular partner reviews to ensure effective engagement on forward-looking plans and delivery on committed objectives in line with expected performance.
- Be familiar with key modern IT technologies and markets, partners key capabilities and their relevance to accelerating Swift innovation and agility.
- This role will require occasional travel to our headquarters in Belgium and potentially other locations as and when required.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute partnerships. This includes driving internal process enhancements to facilitate partner enablement.
- Acquire (source, negotiate, close) and manage new strategic platform partnerships, leveraging industry experience to identify and quantify opportunities, risks, and needs to inform business processes, partnerships, and the product roadmap.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad range of constituents, particularly in Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Legal, as well as with external partner executives.
