Assists with the design, development, creation of content for the department/school.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Supports the development and publication of work through design of print, graphic or digital deliverables.

Designs and creates computer-based, web-based or multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation and/or content.

Uses graphic design computer software and tools to compose original images for branding, marketing collateral, training material, etc.

Contributes to brainstorming and development of design content and collateral.

Utilizes design principles, industry best practices and current trends using emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and other equivalents.

Prepares illustrations, rough sketches or mockups of materials, discussing them with the team leader before proceeding into the final phase.

Solicits and analyzes feedback to increase effectiveness of design.

Supports departmental staff in the following applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree or higher in Graphic Design, Art or Fine Arts.
- Experience in Publication Design, Brand Identity, Illustrations.
- Experience with Web Design.
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, etc.
- Proficient working with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of related experience or equivalent education and experience to equal five years.

Salary Range
$22.92 - $35.49 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
