Commercial Lawyer

Job purpose

Reporting Legal Director Healthcare (in turn reporting to the Chief Legal Officer & Head of Corporate Affairs, the new hire is responsible for providing hands-on legal support to medmix healthcare business segments (dental, drug delivery and surgery), with a focus on supporting commercial contracts, partnerships, innovation initiatives on a worldwide basis. The person will also support, as required, legal operation, procurement and initiatives of the legal department, supporting medmix growth while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This new hire also supports projects at global corporate level, including transactions and partnerships and corporate matters.

Main accountabilities

Commercial

• Provide direct support to the Legal Director Healthcare in her role providing strategic and operational legal insight to the segments head and their respective leadership teams
• Provide hands on support in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts (distribution, partnership commercial, technological or otherwise) agreements, frame arrangements, development and manufacturing of exclusive products and associated services to enable the dental, drug delivery and surgery operations on a worldwide basis.
• Support the segments in their business and commercial activities, strategy deployment and geographical expansion.
• Work in close collaboration with the intellectual property and the innovation teams
• Train business teams on contracts, risk mitigation and contract management, coordinate contracts life cycle management.
• Directly support contract life cycle management, legal operations and other projects, as required by the Legal Director Healthcare or other members of the legal department. This may include litigations, acquisitions, reorganizations and other initiatives, at local or global level.
• As required, provide direct assistance to the procurement team and other functions or segments

Requirements

• Qualified attorney with a demonstrated experience in commercial contracts negotiation, execution, and management in a very international context.
• Hands-on legal experience in house and-or in private practice in the healthcare industry essential
• 3-5 years of relevant experience , ideally with a mix of international groups and law firms
• Able to demonstrate substantial hands-on global experience in commercial operations, partnerships and transactions
