The Role

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Associate Infrastructure Engineer who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for support and implementation of a global IP network and hybrid cloud systems infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for a recently graduated engineer to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of experienced engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.

In this role you will be:

• Responsible for supporting Cubic’s global IP infrastructure.
• Responsible for supporting the network architecture of Cubic’s cloud-based IaaS.
• Communicating with both internal and external customers to ensure a resilient and scalable network infrastructure is provided.
• Conscious of security at all layers.
• Managing third party vendors and services.

Requirements

The Person

• Minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Linux knowledge required.
• VMware knowledge preferred.
• Understanding of cloud network technologies preferred.
• Familiar with the OSI model.
• Hobbyist interest in technology.
• 1 years’ experience in network infrastructure support and implementation.
• Proven track record in working with small teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting TCP/IP issues.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
• Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
• Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
• Ability to prioritise work tasks.
• Adaptable and flexible in approach to work, able to work under pressure.
