We are seeking a visionary HR & Payroll Specialist to join our Berlin team! They will be the owner of payroll, administrative topics and HRIS tools related to People Management.

💪 Responsibilities

  • Monthly payroll
    • Collect monthly variables (leaves, salary or title changes, etc) from employees and managers
    • Forward variable to external provider
    • Review payslips to ensure accuracy
    • Oversee payslip distribution
    • Liaise with finance / accounting department to process salary payment
    • Liaise with finance / accounting department to process required payment to local entities
    • Supports General Manager and Global HR in providing accurate data for headcount planning and salary mass analysis
  • Local HR Admin
    • Collects, checks and stores in our Employee Files all contractual documents linked to employees (contracts, addenda, official letters)
    • Point of contact for all local mandatory benefits providers (health coverage, insurance, unemployment agency, etc), both for employees and for providers
    • Collects requests from employees and provides support in getting answer within a reasonable timeline
    • Ensures compliance with country regulations in terms of workplace management (health & safety, mandatory employee files )
    • Ensures compliance with Company HR rules and processes
      • Be the main contact person for all HR and admin related questions. This includes employment, legal, well-being, inclusion, communication, etc..
    • Ownership of all information sources for Employees (Legal Guides, FAQ's, Presentations, etc..)
    • Make templates to use for official letters, documents, contracts, amendments,…
  • Support to Employee Lifecycle Management
    • Support central Talent Acquisition - if needed -on the hiring process of new team members
    • Onboarding: syncs with the hiring manager to create HRIS records for new joiners, ensures that they have to the relevant internal tools, collects and files all mandatory info from the new joiner
    • Offboarding: syncs with the hiring manager to offboard any leaving employee from our tools, oversees all the offboarding process from an administrative point of view (getting company material back, updating records with payroll and external providers)
    • Collects feedback on any critical points of the Employee Journey and partners with Global People Department to flag specific issues
  • Mini / Midijobbers management
    • Assist in the Product Improvements for Minijobbers and MidijobberS
    • Support the onboarding of Teaching Assistants by holding the Welcome & Intro Presentation, assisting the Batch Managers in the scheduling, etc.
    • Collaborate with Batch Managers and the TGE to create a clear process of Up-skilling Teacher Assistants

This is the role for you if you have:

  • Background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in HR management, preferably in the technology or education sector.
  • Professional level of German language
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in Germany.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with hybrid teams.
  • Passion for education, technology, and creating positive social impact.
