Communications Manager

The Global Communications Manager – Europe will drive the development of strategy and tools for engaging a broad range of internal and external stakeholders working collaboratively with the Securitas Technology Global Communications team, and regional cross-functional partners achieve business results.

This role will partner with the Securitas Technologies President of Europe, Europe Leadership Team, and other business and functional leaders to create communications that support Securitas Technology’s position as a technology leader.

What You'll be doing:

  • Oversee and support all internal and external communication activities related to Securitas Technology Europe
  • Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to drive communication strategies that support business objectives; identify themes, topics and content that will resonate with target audiences, while identifying and navigating through potential risks.
  • Design and execute integrated communication strategies for a variety of business initiatives; educate and inform teammates, drive engagement, change behaviour where required, and deliver business results.
  • Serve as liaison between the Global Communications team and the Europe Leadership Team, along with other cross-functional business teams to ensure synchronized messaging across various countries.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to gauge the success of communications programming and related efforts.
  • Drive the overall communication strategy and editorial calendar for Europe business and executive communications in support of business priorities.
  • Develop internal communications messaging tools and resources that are integrated with the enterprise messaging, increase teammate engagement, drive functional and business change agendas for Securitas Technology – Europe counterparts to use for local execution.
  • Ensure all communications are consistent and aligned with Securitas Technology’s practices, brand standards, and support one Securitas voice and the globalization agenda.
  • Lead content development for functional areas (leveraging existing materials when possible), including writing and production, and guiding the work of others who may be assisting.
  • Drive and execute Europe specific town hall meetings in partnership with key stakeholders; develop messaging that strengthen teammates understanding of the Securitas Technology transformation and business priorities.
  • Partner with country leaders, HR, and business partners to drive engagement; deploy and support an employee brand advocacy platform and create and communicate a succinct and compelling employee value proposition/employer brand.
  • Prepare written internal communication materials including business communications, organizational announcements, leadership communications, reports, presentation slide decks, integrated communications plans, scripts, etc.
  • Draft and execute dynamic content that can be adapted and shared across a variety of internal and external channels.
  • Coordinate participation and develop messaging for events and media interviews related to Securitas Technology.
  • Partner with the Global Marketing team (Digital & Social) team to ensure our internal and external communications are integrated through emerging platforms and techniques.
  • Coordinate efforts with the Crisis Management team to ensure integrated approach and quick turnaround strategy (from negative to positive) in case of protests or crisis.

What You'll need...

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, or relevant field.
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to inspire commitment from teams and leaders across functions.
  • Strong ability to identify opportunities for synergy across projects and business units and influence decisions without direct authority across organizational boundaries.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop effective networks of internal and external relationships.
  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal, listening, and written).
  • Comfortable presenting to and interacting with senior leaders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in developing narratives, leadership communications, and communications strategies and tactical execution.
  • Ability to synthesize diverse activities into clear and compelling frameworks to help stakeholders understand how discrete actions support a broader agenda.
  • Problem solving/critical thinking - approaches challenges and problems in a rational, thoughtful manner that assures understanding and effective resolution.
