About the startup & role

I am an EIR at Menlo Ventures who is currently laying the groundwork for a completely new take on the nutrition tracking space. This space has been stale for a long time and AI unlocks an opportunity to completely change the experience. I am looking for a 0 to 1 growth marketer that’s going to help us design and execute our marketing strategy for pre-launch, launch, and beyond.

Few important notes about the company

• This platform is not just about nutrition tracking but about discovery, "fun" is a missing term in this space and we want to bring it back.
• We're going to make good use of wearable health data to tie your nutrition to outcomes; this is not being done at this stage beyond basic calorie in-out calculations.
• We're mission-driven and focused on ways to bring the cost for the user to as low as possible, ideally free.
• We're investigating ways this platform can be used to reduce food waste at a societal level.

Current team

• Seasoned Founder, a decade in the wearables and health spaces, exited first startup to WHOOP
• Talented Head of Design, a decade at top tier design companies like Uber, Dropbox, Apple and Patreon
• ML Engineer with a PhD in CS and deep expertise in LLMs

What we're looking for

• Deep consumer experience, has launched B2C consumer apps in the nutrition or wellness spaces
• Solid all-rounder with experience and knowledge of all key marketing channels
• Thought deeply about AI and AI-first experiences
• Ready to launch many experiments across social channels and in-person
• Good network of experts to tap into for specific tasks and projects
• 0 to 1 marketer that loves the speed and independence that comes with small agile teams
• Ability to start in a contractor capacity, with potential to join full-time in the future

Your responsibilities

• Help design the marketing strategy for all key phases (pre-launch, launch, and growth)
• Recruit all freelancers to fill gaps and execute on marketing projects
• Coordinate closely with the rest of the team on launch date planning
• Full ownership over the marketing execution from A to Z, close collaboration with our CEO and Head of Design
