We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and versatile IT Support Specialist (Maltese speaker) to join our dynamic, fast-paced team in Malta.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day local/remote desktop support
- Handle inbound calls and answer questions
- Troubleshoot and document steps performed to resolve challenges with hardware, software and application issues in a ticketing system
- Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions
- Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are followed
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements
- Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Manage user accounts and access permissions
- Perform regular system updates and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with company IT standards and policies
- Assist with the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
- Working technical knowledge, in order to address service work orders for PCs, laptops, phones, peripherals
- Working technical knowledge of standard systems and business software
- Client facing soft skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge
- Works on problems/projects of moderately medium-complex scope
- Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
- Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
- Ability to provide disposal services
- Able to independently problem solve
- Able to provide feedback on new technical processes to help drive efficiency
- No OEM certifications (break and fix support is assumed to be provided over OEM warranty)
- Fluency in Maltese language & A2 certificate in English
