Overview

ING Financial Markets is looking to further contribute to the growth story of ING WB Taiwan with a senior Financial Institutions Sales located in Taiwan. This is a key role to build relationships with banks and non-bank financial institutions, with majority of time spent marketing and originating business opportunities for the ING franchise.

Financial Markets delivers a broad range of flow products in developed and emerging markets, spanning asset classes: FX/e-FX, money markets, Rates, Credit (primary / secondary / private placements), Securities Financing, Equity Derivatives, and Commodities. In addition to flow products, we offer bespoke solutions such as Structured Financing, Margin Loans, Sustainable products, as well as structured products.

This candidate will work closely with teams in Sales, Trading, Syndicate, and Financial Institutions Coverage in building a sustainable franchise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and drive the Financial Markets Taiwan Institutional Sales business plan. Identify new revenue pillars and drive sustainable growth development of Institutional clients business. Open doors and articulate/guide Financial Markets management and internal stakeholders accordingly on market themes & intelligence, product development, regulatory developments, and business opportunities.
  • Revenue accountability for Taiwan clients with business done onshore and globally.
  • Lead a team of Institutional Sales in Taipei to develop clients portfolio in Taiwan (central bank, banks, asset managers, insurers, securities firms, funds, sponsors, others) and grow strong relationships. Onboard new clients accordingly.
  • Drive and growth the ING wallet across existing products by leveraging ING resources globally. This includes offshore Sales teams (Execution, FX/Rates Origination, Credit Origination, Financing, Client Solutions Group, Syndicate/MTN etc) to achieve targets.
  • Organize and coordinate client meetings for overseas FM visitors, including management and product specialists.
  • People management: foster an open culture by driving employee and engagement and organizational health.
  • Comply with internal policies to achieve high level of work ethic and professionalism.

Other important pre-requisites

  • Demonstrated and proven record 10+ years of growing business with Taiwanese investors
  • Native mandarin speaker. Fluent in English, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrable high quality and integrity standards
