The Opportunity

As a Director, Cloud Network Security/Boundary Protection, you will be responsible for leading a global team with a focus on engineering and operations of FICO’s boundary protection services. This is a highly visible and critical role, working on complex cloud and corporate service edge protection technologies and oversight. You will collaborate extensively with internal cyber security and various business units, including corporate and production IT services to provide expert security advice and assistance in creating a secure infrastructure design for FICO's solutions. As a technical expert in network security, web defenses, email protections and systems architecture you will provide guidance and input on challenges facing the organization and help ensure a secure, well protected environment that complies with all applicable security standards.”- Sr Director-Cyber Security

What You’ll Contribute

  • Design, architect, and implement Security technologies in a complex and distributed infrastructure.
  • Design, implement and manage scalable security controls on network security for Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), SASE, Intrusion Detection Systems, and auditing tools in both public and private cloud infrastructures.
  • Design, implement and manage scalable security controls for web application firewalling, bot protection, CDN, content redirection and manipulation in a hybrid public/private cloud.
  • Design, implement and manage scalable security controls on email security for Business Email Compromise and Brand Protection.
  • Define the need and assess relevant security tools to address security challenges within cloud and on-prem infrastructures related to edge services.
  • Lead a global team to provide around the clock support of in-line services, hand off processes and on-call rotations.
  • Manage policies, standards and reviews of network segmentation, email and other edge related services.
  • Design, implement and manage scalable security solutions to provide network visibility and security auditing of mixed environments.
  • Perform security analysis and provide recommendations and consulting on securing infrastructure for customer facing applications, incorporating security services.
  • Serve as a knowledge expert to provide guidance and technical leadership to other staff members and teams outside of Security and lead security initiatives and principles towards adoption within the organization.
  • Support our compliance and certification initiatives and develop/maintain automations to remove related manual efforts.

What We’re Seeking

  • A modern network security leader with experience in building, leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands on experience in SASE and Zero Trust security models and related network constructs (VPC, Security Groups, Route Tables, BGP).
  • Extensive experience with secure network connectivity mechanisms (NGFW, VPN, ZTNA, Proxies).
  • Experience operating, engineering and securing hybrid network infrastructure services.
  • Experience with network security tools and mechanisms (e.g., Sourcefire, Suracata, Firemon, Bro or similar).
  • Experience with email security concepts to protect end user compromise and spoofing (ICES, BEC, BP, DKIM/SPF).
  • Experience with the security challenges in managing legacy datacenter to IaaS transformation initiatives.
  • Previous successful projects that iteratively transitioned legacy security models to next generation solutions.
  • Comfort in creating high-level strategies and recommendations based on observed behaviors or patterns

  • The targeted base pay range for this role is: $151,000 to $237,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
