Sr. Real Estate Fund Accountant

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Real Estate Fund Accountant is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day accounting for one or more assigned real estate investment funds. The role works closely with the Fund team. This role will work onsite at our downtown Dallas corporate headquarters location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain books for the Real Estate Fund(s); Submit quarterly for Fund Accounting Manager’s review.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements with notes for the audit.
• Monitor the cash of the funds. Reconcile bank accounts. Record the cash transactions.
• Review property-level financials and work with property accountants on any questions/corrections.
• Ensure property debt payments are made and lender reporting requirements are met.
• Review Fund Valuations twice a year. Stream follows Fair Value Accounting for Valuations…done twice per year (middle of yr. & end of year). Fair value is determined by the cash flow of the properties in the Funds.
• Follow Institutional limited Partners Association Best Practices.
• Prepare Debt Compliance and submit to lender (Fund level).
• Prepare Capital Call and Distribution notice for partners....
