Department Overview

We are looking for the right people to develop and maintain Rakuten’s in-house system(CRM/SFA), which include all sales activities related to merchant life cycle—from shop open to close. Currently we are using Salesforce to support improvements to sales productivity. As a Middle Engineer, you will be in charge for developing, enhancing and maintaining the CRM/SFA systems.

You will be able to acquire business analysis skills and system integration skills through projects involving a wide variety of departments and businesses. Additionally, you will receive direct feedback from business users in order to respond to and support the business development of Rakuten Ichiba. It is an important and rewarding role in which you can see your products and projects improve constantly.

Position Details

• Development, maintenance and operation of Salesforce and related tools
• Appropriate technology selection and development for Salesforce platform
• Smooth communication with business users and suggestions for improvement
• Code quality - has a passion for code quality, performing thorough code reviews and enforcing good coding standards, practices and tools
• Suggest improvements
• Be the technical and quality leader of the other self-moving engineers of the team.
• Plan and execute projects together with the other team engineers and product/project managers.
• Consider the future of our services and continue to improve them.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 3+ years of development experience with Salesforce
• Experience with design for Salesforce object
• Experience with Salesforce operation and maintenance.
• Experience with developing data integration between Salesforce and other systems(ETL, API, Batch application etc,)
• Git - maintaining large codebases through competing releases with minimum stress
• Good communication skills in Japanese with both verbal and written

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience developing with Lightning Experience
• Automation of deployments, tests and releases using tools, such as Jenkins
• Experience with project/product lead and management as an engineer
• Experience with front-end UI development using Javascript
• Experience with defining requirements for web application development projects
• Process management and documentation using tools, such as JIRA, Confluence
