About you

You’ll be joining the Customer Product team as the Head of Cross Border Payments and FX. Reporting to the VP of Customer Products, you’ll be a part of an energetic business that is challenging the market and doing things differently.

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as the Head of Cross Border Payments and Foreign Exchange. You will need to have a deep understanding of the global payments industry, with a particular focus on cross-border payments, digital assets for cross border payments and foreign exchange.

Your responsibilities as Head of Cross Border Payments and FX will be to:

  • Understand ClearBank Customers and the best way to support sending and receiving cross border payments, whether its via international swift or through an alternative payment method
  • Develop and implement key strategies to drive growth, improve customer experience and achieve revenue targets.
  • Drive a 3-year roadmap and have deep industry knowledge of traditional and alternative cross border payment methods (blockchain to facilitate international payments) and investigate build, buy, or partner strategy to build out our customer requirements.
  • Build and coach a high performing team of product managers on day-to-day operations, to drive product development, prioritization, and backlog management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including financial institutions, payment processors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including anti-money laundering and sanctions screening requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product development, sales, and marketing teams, to drive business growth and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with Treasury on ClearBank's balance sheet management to ensure optimum handling of currency balances for both capital and liquidity purposes.
  • Lead cross functional teams to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency and enhance the organization’s competitive position in the cross-border payments space.

Requirements

  • You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of success in a similar role with at least 5-10 years of product management experience. You must have a strong understanding of cross-border payments and foreign exchange markets.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, business development and strategy experience, communication and analytical skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in an energetic dynamic environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. Additional certifications, such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Foreign Exchange Professional (CFEP), are a plus.
