The Role:

  • Automation Systems Engineer
  • Hybrid Role - 2 days onsite per week required on average - the candidate should be based in South Dublin or a commutable distance to South Dublin

Role Brief:

This role involves working with a major SL Controls client with a focus on packing systems for new product introduction. There will be a focus on the replacement and/or upgrade of obsolete hardware and software upgrades. OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement projects will also form part of the role.

You will work as part of a large automation projects team and have the possibility of moving into other areas such as SCADA or BMS over time.

Skills Brief:

  • 3 years + GMP automation experience is essential.
  • A strong level of experience in pharma / life sciences manufacturing and an deep understanding of regulatory standards in this sector is essential.
  • Pack systems experience with B&S and Systech is a significant advantage.
  • Rockwell or Siemens PLC and HMI experience is required.
  • Strong evidence of project delivery in the area of automated packing systems and track and trace systems is required.

Person Brief:

Candidates must have a B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic or automation discipline, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, blue chip or relevant GMP manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication & problem solving skills as well as strong stakeholder & vendor management skills.

As this role is a hybrid role with 2 to 3 days per week on average required onsite in South Dublin and the successful candidate must be based in South Dublin or within a reasonable commute. Only candidates with a current valid work permit to work in Ireland can be considered due to project timelines.
