Your role and responsibilities will include:
Brand
- Develop and champion Yoyo’s brand CI, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Have an eye for detail and ensure consistency throughout brand application
UI Design
- Oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept ideation to final implementation across Yoyo’s product suite: web portals, mobi sites, apps.
Creative Initiative
- Demonstrate autonomy in projects, initiate design ideas and bring them to fruition.
Team Development
- Lead a small team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous growth.
- Provide insight and guidance to the design team, with a special focus on the latest design trends and technologies.
Business Partnering
- Partner with product leads, engineers and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritise design initiatives based on feedback and business objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop engaging marketing collateral, including website design, email campaigns and promotional materials
Requirements
- A relevant degree or certification in Design or Visual Art.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in UI design.
- Proficiency in Figma.
- Good working experience with design software and video editing software, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Excellent presentation skills with working knowledge of PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative and user-friendly design solutions that meet business objectives.
- Extensive working experience in branding with an existing brand, corporate identity (CI).
- Diversified and flexible skill set as you will need to design for a range of different materials eg: sales collateral, infographics, logos, icons, corporate stationery and promotional material.
Experience that will be advantageous include: UI and web experience, understanding of perspective, Sketch (design application), digital design (websites), animation & motion graphics, video creation & editing (Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro), Prototyping software (Flinto, InVision or similar) and image retouching.
