The Mission, Equity & Legislative Affairs Department of the Legal Division (MELA) is currently seeking a Legal Analyst Senior for assisting attorneys in connection with legislative and regulatory analysis and monitoring, as well as supporting regulatory submissions on a wide range of matters including safety and soundness, affordable housing, new business initiatives, and fair lending. Freddie Mac purchases almost a quarter of all single-family residence mortgages in the United States and provides liquidity to hundreds of billions of dollars of workforce and affordable multifamily housing. The Legal Division’s MELA Department provides legal advice to internal clients on a wide range of issues related to Freddie Mac as a business entity, including financial regulatory, compliance and risk management matters affecting the legal and business environment in which Freddie Mac and other financial institutions operate. We also assist our clients in navigating complex requirements applicable to government-sponsored enterprises.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $90,000 - $136,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
