Cartographer

The Opportunity:

With a thorough understanding of cartographic standardization principles, best practices, and procedures, a skilled cartographer can turn map data into valuable information. If that sounds like you, we have an opportunity for you to use your geospatial analysis skills to transform intelligence community and the national security industries.

As a cartographer at Booz Allen, you’ll work with a team of graphic designers, cartographers, and intelligence analysts to extract meaning and context from various data sources. Using resources like ArcGIS and Map Publisher, you’ll develop new ways to find patterns and connections to answer our client needs.

On our team, you’ll also use your skills to maintain and create geographic databases, including shapefiles, hard copy maps, rasters, vectors, imagery, and geographic data, and distributed needed files to designers in the appropriate formats. Conduct cartographic-based requests for the client. Your visualization skills will come in handy as you build density graphics and heat maps to make sure the intelligence analyst and senior briefers have the timely information they need.

Work with us as we turn data into knowledge to support our warfighters, protect our national security, and inform our nation’s leaders.
