Purpose of Job:

Divergent is a technology company, based in Los Angeles, on a mission to revolutionize manufacturing with its proprietary Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS™). We automate the design, manufacture, and assembly of complex structures using non-design specific software, additive manufacturing, and robotic assembly. We actively work with major Automotive OEMS and Aerospace Primes globally, addressing the automotive, aerospace, aviation, transportation, and agricultural industries.

The Project Management Office (PMO) serves as the core point of contact for customers from early market scoping engagement through successful launch of series production programs. As a Business Process Analyst at Divergent Technologies, you will play a crucial role in leading and implementing operational excellence initiatives to enhance the efficiency and robustness of our production operation processes. Your responsibilities will include developing and sustaining integrated production scheduling tools, analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, overseeing the implementation of new technologies, and contributing to process planning, manufacturing engineering, and manufacturing execution systems (MES). In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Business Development, Program Management, Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality professionals, and this role will report to the Operations Excellence Process Manager.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards

Identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational excellence.

Lead and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize production operations.

Analyzes, validates and develops business and technical process requirements. Develops systems requirements, techniques, and controls. Participates in implementation efforts and requirements.

Develops and manages business and user requirement specifications. Ensures consistency, traceability, feasibility and completeness. Recommends process improvement.

Develops hard copy and electronic reports as required. Utilizes analysis models, prototypes and scenarios.

Participates in the development and implementation of requirement practices and processes and the development of engineering policies, procedures and tools.

Evaluate the efficiency and costs of existing production processes.

Create and update detailed process documentation for standardization and continuous improvement.

Conduct efficiency audits to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and ensure successful process integration.

Utilize lean six-sigma principles to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.

Provide regular reports and updates on the progress of operational excellence initiatives.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of process improvements.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, supply chain, or a related field

2+ years of industry experience in process planning, process engineering, project management, operations, supply chain, or systems engineering

Experienced with executing customer programs in technical environments, including full product life cycle experience in automotive full vehicle programs, aerospace, aviation, or transportation

Strong background in lean six-sigma methodologies.

Experienced with project management tools such as MS Projects, scrum boards, gantt, Smartsheet, Confluence and Jira

Experienced with business analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and SQL

Preferred Skills and Experience:

PMP and Scrum Master certification

Master’s degree in engineering or science discipline

Master of business administration

Experienced with PLM (Teamcenter), MRP, ERP, MES systems

Proven track record collaborating with multi-domain internal and external technical teams

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lead in a highly challenging, dynamic, and innovative start-up atmosphere

Green Belt in DfSS and/or lean Six Sigma

Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes

Physical Demands:

Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operations shifts

Must be willing to travel to customer locations, product launch sites, and other offices as needed.

$82,620 - $119,250 a year
