Job Description

We're seeking a talented Data Analyst with expertise in medical signal processing to join our Hospital Patient Monitoring Data team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with clinicians and engineers to support the preparation, execution and analysis of clinical studies, directly impacting patient outcomes and driving advancements in healthcare diagnostics. This is a full-time position requiring up to 25% travel regionally and internationally. We work in a hybrid way of working 3 days in the office and 2 days are possible to work from home.

Your role:

• Support the preparation, execution and analysis of clinical studies and associated data collection activities, within the Hospital Patient Monitoring business group

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify suitable technical set-ups for data collection in clinical studies.

• Collaborate with the clinical study team in study start-up activities.

• Support data collection activities in laboratory studies.

• Assess data quality.

• Clean and pre-process clinical study data.

• Conduct analysis of clinical study data.

• Maintain clear documentation for technical set-ups and developed software / algorithms, facilitating knowledge transfer within the team.

• Uphold ethical standards and regulatory compliance in handling medical data.

You're the right fit if:

• You hold a Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

• You have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in developing software for medical signal processing in a professional or enterprise environment.

• Your technical skills include proficiency in programing/tools such as Python (numpy, pandas, matplotlib), Matlab, and data management and database knowledge (sqlite, schemas, normalization).

• Project/timeline management skills and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and adapt to change as needed

• Self-starter attitude with ability to learn quickly and self-educate on different medical device products and procedures; ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, round out your profile.

• Knowledge of the principles of clinical research methodology, statistics, data analysis and interpretation are a plus.

• Knowledge and experience with EN ISO 14155 Clinical Investigations is a plus

• Knowledge and experience with ISO14971 Risk Management is a plus

• Prior knowledge and experience with patient monitoring devices is a plus

• Knowledge in medical device regulation and standards is a plus.

Fluent in Englisch and German would be good
