ABOUT THE TEAM

Technology is at the core of what we do. Basis Technologies’ innovative Engineering team designs and develops new features and integrations for Basis, our industry-leading, comprehensive software solution. Our platform processes over 400 billion events per day and uses AI and machine learning to automate and simplify the entire digital campaign process.

Production Operations Team is all about engineering and maintaining distributed systems at scale, providing high availability and resiliency for real-time products and services.

WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

Reporting into the Director, Production Operations, you will partner with the Production Operations Team and will be responsible for engineering Basis DSP production and service systems. You will also contribute by:

• Engineering and support of Basis DSP systems and infrastructure
• Maintaining system and applications deployments for infrastructure supporting hundreds of billions of transactions a day
• Ensuring high availability, resiliency, and security for all production infrastructure assets
• Day-to-day operations
• Performing systems observability, monitoring and performance tuning
• On call emergency availability

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

• Your passion about technology
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in System Engineering
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience with infrastructure management and automation systems (e.g., SaltStack, Terraform, Ansible)
• Proficient knowledge of Linux (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS)
• Experience in designing scalable, reliable, resilient, and secure systems
• Knowledge of availability and scaling principles (Clustering, Partitioning, Load Balancing)
• Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Coding experience (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with Database Engines (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Experience with monitoring/graphing/alerting systems
• Experience managing infrastructure in public clouds (e.g., AWS, GCP) and on-premises
• Knowledge of networking protocols and fundamentals

$113,000 - $179,000 a year

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position may also include commission or bonus, company equity, and competitive benefits.
