About the Team
Convert team's primary goal is unlocking new ways for brands to generate more sales in collaboration with customer service teams without sacrificing the quality of customer experience.
By building new revenue-oriented products (and also adapting existing ones e.g. Chat) Gorgias should influence and generate new sales for the merchants.
What Youโll Do
- Build new user-facing features for Gorgias Convert
- Collaborate closely with our product and design teams to create visually appealing, responsive, and highly performant features that meet our customers' needs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring a seamless user experience across different devices and browsers
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following best practices and industry standards
- Work in an agile development environment, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Who You Are
- 5+ years of software development experience, demonstrating strong frontend skills in usability, performance, and accessibility
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development using React and TypeScript
- Demonstrate knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and general web best practices
- Experience working with APIs. Our backends are built in Python (Flask and FastAPI) and Node.js (Express)
- Capable of delivering reliable software with proficiency in various testing levels, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Thrive in a high-impact, highly collaborative, fast-paced work environment of a startup
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of vanilla JS, ES2015+ syntax, and the entire JavaScript ecosystem
- A product-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership, always prioritizing customer value

- Experience in building two-way communications using WebSockets or alternative communication protocols
- Collaboration experience with a design team and working with a design system
