- Lead a team of system administrators, responsible for building, maintaining, and ensuring high availability of our DC and cloud infrastructure and tools.
- Support the business and product strategies, leading and driving innovation in hosting and orchestration of the products.
- Operate and continuously improve hosting services based on cloud and on-premise systems.
- Own the planning, prioritisation, communication, and delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Identify, plan, and forecast budget required for development and upgrades to the infrastructure.
- Support cross functional teams in ensuring optimised resource consumption/spending and optimise capacity, usage, lifecycle management, performance, and interface with customers to achieve excellence in service delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with all internal stakeholders and external support services.
- Ensure systems, tools, hardware, and support is maintained, replaced/upgraded when appropriate.
- Oversee infrastructure hosting projects, including the migration of on-premise applications to public cloud in collaboration with external IT support teams, devops engineers, architects, cyber experts and developers.
- Supporting the team in reacting to customer topics and incidents
- 10+ years of experience in IT with a focus on system administration and automation
- Strong experience of Kubernetes and supporting service based applications
- Expertise in Linux system administration and in using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible
- Strong knowledge of scripting and programming in Bash and Python
- Experience of running demanding .NET and Java applications in production with an understanding of memory management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in troubleshooting complex issues triggered and supported by monitoring tools
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, essential for working across teams and with stakeholders
